SQ, Solano ‘Uncuffed’ podcast wins journalism award

The California State Prison, Solano, and San Quentin inmate-produced podcast “Uncuffed” was awarded first place for best radio/audio series by the San Francisco Press Club during the Greater Bay Area Journalism Awards.

Damon L. Cooke, Steve Drown, Spoon Jackson, Joe Kirk, Bryan Mazza, Julian Glenn “Luke” Padgett, and b.f. thames were all recognized for their contributions to the “Uncuffed” podcast.

KALW public radio, based in San Francisco, is behind the podcast with support coming from the California Arts Council.
