Retirement didn’t slow down Mark Hargrove

Public service called him again and he served on the Chino Planning Commission. In 2018, he won a seat on the Chino City Council. He was a longtime Chino resident, graduating Chino High School in 1982.

Hargrove served as the city’s representative on the Santa Ana Watershed Advisory Council and the Citizen’s Advisory Committee to CIM and California Institution for Women.

Lt. Hargrove was also a veteran, serving in the US Air Force from 1983 to 1987, achieving the rank of sergeant.

“It was an honor to be his colleague and friend,” said Chino Mayor Pro Tem Marc Lucio. “Mark will be greatly missed by everyone that admired his honesty and integrity. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark’s wife, Teri, and family. Our deepest sympathies go out to them.”
