LEADN Awards honor Pelican Bay Honor Guard, Peer Support

Pelican Bay State Prison (PBSP) staff and administrators attended the Law Enforcement Administrators of Del Norte (LEADN) Awards.

The LEADN Committee is made up of all law enforcement heads of the county and District Attorney’s Office. They meet monthly to share information and to help each other to keep Del Norte County safe.

It was a memorable experience where attendees witnessed various staff from multiple agencies be recognized for their efforts.

The Pelican Bay Honor Guard posted colors, setting a dignified tone for the ceremony.

Those being recognized included representatives from:

  • Pelican Bay State Prison Honor Guard and Peer Support
  • California Highway Patrol
  • Crescent City Police Department
  • Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office
  • Department of Fish and Wildlife
  • Search and Rescue
  • California State Parks
  • and the District Attorney’s Office.

It was a proud moment for all agencies, showcasing the dedication and professionalism of their teams as they serve our community.

The LEADN Awards provided a platform to highlight the hard work and commitment of the exceptional individuals being acknowledged at the event, further motivating us to continue striving for excellence in all that we do.

“It was great to be present and congratulate our Peer Support and Honor Guard teams,” said acting Warden Stephen Smith. “They continue to make a significant impact on our institution and the community. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed, and it is with great pride we celebrate their accomplishments. We are truly fortunate to have such committed team members.”
