During Nurses, Correctional Officers and Public Service Workers recognition weeks, Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF) held a staff wellness appreciation day on May 6.
Warden Anissa De La Cruz and the Crime Victims Coalition sponsored feeding the entire staff. The administration cooked, providing tacos and burritos for first, second, and third watch staff.
The event was held in the unveiled staff wellness area funded by the California Model funds. The area includes two gazebos, barbecue pits, seated grass areas with rocks, trees, and flowers.
The meals were served by the warden and administration staff. Mariachi singers were present, serenading staff as they enjoyed their meal.
“It is always great to have the administration serve and cooking a great meal for us,” said one staff member.
