CRC Norco population raises $14k for charity

Friends of Leaps and Bounds received nearly $7,000 from the CRC population.

Thanks to the efforts of the incarcerated population at the California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) in Norco, nearly $14,000 was raised for charity.

The funds were raised through incarcerated population food sales. Recipients were two local non-profit organizations: Friends of Leaps and Bounds as well as Priceless Pets Rescue. Each organization received almost $7,000.

Friends of Leaps and Bounds Pediatric Therapy assist economically disadvantaged people with disabilities. They provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and hippotherapy treatments. The services are either free or offered at a low cost.

Priceless Pets is a non-profit animal welfare organization with rescue animals from various circumstances. They provide care and life-saving measures through their veterinary clinics. Then they place them with new adopting families.

Helping the community through charity is one way the incarcerated population at CRC Norco is making amends.
