Staff at RJ Donovan Correctional Facility (RJD) are helping educate regional law enforcement officers about the youth diversion program.

Law enforcement officers from the San Diego County Regional Leadership Institute were offered a glimpse of RJD’s youth diversion program, Life Insight from Experience (LIFE).

In all, 13 officers representing state, city, and county agencies were given a tour on Aug. 28 to learn more about the program and general operations of the institution.

The institute provides training to law enforcement leadership in San Diego County while also building community relationships.

The purpose of their visit was to learn about the program offerings available to their departments as well as expose different law enforcement agencies to the inner workings of the state correctional setting.

Learn more about the institute on their website.
