Mule Creek State Prison’s Employee Association hosted a Family Fun Day staff appreciation event featuring music and activities.
The Sept. 7 event was full of family fun activities including a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, shaved ice, live music, and the first Mule Creek Softball Tournament.
Pulled-pork sandwiches with coleslaw were provided by Correctional Officer Justin Williams, who also runs The County BBQ.
The association strives to show appreciation and gratitude for Mule Creek staff by putting on events dedicated to boosting team morale and camaraderie.
By encouraging and including staff family members in events, the association is also focused on fostering a positive work-life balance. The association promotes family support and understanding of the challenging job CDCR staff members encounter each shift.
