Kenneth Figueroa, a retired correctional officer, passed away July 12, 2025.

He began his career with the department in 2002 at High Desert State Prison in Susanville. Figueroa also worked at the conservation camps including Antelope, Valley View and Ishi.
He retired in May 2024.
“Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family and loved ones. Figueroa will be missed by his fellow co-workers and all who knew him,” according to Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown.
A celebration of life was held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at The Bluffs, 20200 Live Oak Road, Red Bluff.
“The Figueroa family extends its sincere thanks and appreciation for the CDCR officers and employees who attended Kenn Figueroa’s celebration of life. Kenn was very proud and happy to work alongside such fine people and to consider them his work family for so many years,” according to his family.
