Saints Prison Ministry visited Centinela State Prison (CEN) to engage incarcerated persons on three facilities in friendly yet competitive softball games.
Under the supervision of Physical Education Coach Manuel Altamirano, incarcerated persons practiced for weeks to prepare to take on the Saints. Their preparation paid off as they gave the Saints, a professional softball team, all they could handle during the March 4 games.

Since 1987, Saints Prison Ministry has played more than 5,300 softball games against incarcerated persons in 480 prisons and jails in 34 U.S. states and Canada. Through athletics, the ministry mentors incarcerated persons toward spiritual maturity and successful transition back to family and community.
