North Kern State Prison celebrated its second Gratitude Grams project throughout the month of May. The event fostered an atmosphere of appreciation, positivity, and teamwork throughout the institution.
According to organizers, this year’s event was a success, with more than 600 Gratitude Grams delivered to staff across the institution.

Each Gratitude Gram included treats such as cake pops and candied apples. These treats created small but meaningful moments of joy during the workday.
The event provided staff with an opportunity to recognize and celebrate one another for the dedication, professionalism, compassion, and teamwork they demonstrate every day.

Employees from custody, healthcare, administration, and support services took part in expressing heartfelt appreciation to their peers, supervisors, and team members. Messages of gratitude highlighted the countless ways staff support one another, overcome challenges together, and contribute to the overall mission of the institution.
From shared laughter during deliveries to the smiles sparked by unexpected words of encouragement, the Gratitude Gram event strengthened morale, reinforcing the positive culture at North Kern State Prison.
