Once a month, IT executives from the California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS), Division of Information Technology Services, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Division of Enterprise Information Services, and California Prison Industry Authority (CalPIA) invite vendors to Vendor Day.
CDCR is the largest state agency in California with approximately 44,000 employees and more than 90 locations throughout California, including adult institutions, parole office locations, conservation fire camps, community correctional facilities, juvenile justice institutions and multiple administrative and headquarters offices. At CDCR, we enhance public safety through safe and secure incarceration of offenders, effective parole supervision, and rehabilitative strategies to successfully reintegrate offenders into our communities. CCHCS provides care that includes medical, dental and mental health services to California’s prison inmate population at all 35 California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) adult institutions statewide. Our 18,000 employees work to provide patients timely access to safe, effective and efficient medical care, reduce unnecessary morbidity and mortality, and protect public health. CalPIA is a self-supporting, customer-focused business that reduces recidivism, increases prison safety, and enhances public safety by providing offenders productive work and training opportunities.
