14010.15 Requests to Settle Litigation

• All settlement requests shall be in writing addressed to the Assistant Secretary, OLAOffice of Legal Affairs, and submitted through the assigned OLAOffice of Legal Affairs attorney or Assistant General Counsel promptly. The assigned attorney or Assistant General Counsel shall, in accordance with OLAOffice of Legal Affairs’s settlement process, promptly act on the settlement request to obtain a department-approved response. Once the department-approved response is obtained, the assigned OLAOffice of Legal Affairs attorney or Assistant General Counsel shall convey that response to litigation counsel promptly.
