14030.5 Who May Request a Polygraph Examination

  • Polygraph examinations may be requested for an employee, incarcerated person, or supervised person under investigation for alleged violation of the law or a regulation. A request for a polygraph for an employee shall be completed by their respective Hiring Authority (HA) or their designee. A request for a polygraph for an incarcerated person or supervised person shall be completed by the Warden or Assistant Deputy Director (ADD) having jurisdiction over the incarcerated person or supervised person. No person shall be ordered to take a polygraph examination. No coercion or offer of reward shall be used to induce any person to take a polygraph examination.
