15090.2.1 Office of Personnel Management

  • The Office of Personnel Management (OPMOffice of Personnel Management) is responsible for establishing CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation personnel policies and ensures that all personnel actions and examinations are conducted in compliance with applicable control agency laws, rules, policies, and procedures. The OPMOffice of Personnel Management provides the technical personnel assistance to managers and supervisors throughout the CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. It also reviews and approves classification requests and personnel actions; reviews proposed adverse personnel actions; and conducts periodic audits of all personnel actions throughout the CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The OPMOffice of Personnel Management is responsible for administering payroll and personnel programs, including benefits, and for managing a number of automated personnel systems for the CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, including the Watch Office Tracking System and the Personnel Post Assignment System. OPMOffice of Personnel Management is also responsible for all employee placement actions in the CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and serves as the primary liaison with SPBState Personnel Board (see CalHR) and Department of Personnel Administration (DPADepartment of Personnel Administration (see CalHR)).
