33030.8.1.1 In‑Service Training (IST)

  • When ISTIn-Service Training is ordered, the supervisor or manager shall complete section one of the memorandum form “Order for Formal ISTIn-Service Training or Documentation of OJTOn-the-Job Training.” Orders for ISTIn-Service Training shall direct the employee to report to the ISTIn-Service Training Training Manager, Assistant ISTIn-Service Training Training Manager, or other departmental training officer for completion of specific ISTIn-Service Training by a specified date. When formal training is ordered, the employee is responsible to report to the appropriate Training Manager and complete the training prior to the due date set for the completion of the training. Orders for formal ISTIn-Service Training and completed ISTIn-Service Training documentation shall be filed in the employee’s supervisory file.
