31090.4.1 Employee Death Reporting

The first person (any employee) that learns of a death shall notify the deceased employee’s supervisor or manager and the assigned POCParole Outpatient Clinics as soon as possible with as much of the preliminary information on the death. If the supervisor is unavailable, then the second-line supervisor is notified. If circumstances surrounding the employee death are such that the immediate notification is not possible, notification to the departmental staff shall be made as soon as possible but no later than 24 hours after the first person learns of the employee death.
