51010.5 Non‑Emergency Assistance (General Law Enforcement Assistance)

  • GCGovernment Code Section 8617 provides that the CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation may exercise non-emergency mutual aid powers in accordance with the Master Mutual Aid Agreement and local ordinances, resolutions, agreements, or plans.

  • CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation peace officers may be approved to assist law enforcement agencies during non-emergency situations if one or more of the following exist:

    • The request has a direct nexus to CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

    • The request complies with a signed Memorandum of Understanding.

    • Mutual Aid Agreement.
