51010.7 Emergency Assistance Cost Recovery

• During an incident that has either received a State Proclamation from the Governor or a Federal Declaration from the President of the United States, requesting agencies shall follow the mission tasking process through CalOES. This process requires the requesting agency to submit their request to the State Operations Center to be processed and sent to the OCSOffice of Correctional Safety for fulfillment. This process provides the required documentation for cost recovery.

• During smaller incidents that have not initiated a State Proclamation or Federal Declaration, the mission tasking process shall still be followed, and OCSOffice of Correctional Safety shall be notified, however, the assisting agency may not receive reimbursement for assistance provided.

• If a CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation office or institution provides mutual aid to a requesting agency without a mission task or formal agreement, they may not receive reimbursement for the assistance provided.
