54030.9.3 Correspondence Course Materials

• Incarcerated persons who enroll in a correspondence course and who are not assigned to the course as an institution education program may possess the materials for that course, including textbooks, in their quarters or living area as approved by designated custody staff consistent within the six cubic feet limitation. Correspondence courses requiring tools, construction kits, or other materials that may pose a threat to the institution’s security or the safety of persons shall not be allowed.
