62080.4 Acute Medical Inpatient

• Category “H”

  • Inmates who require medical services and/or surgical care in a general acute care hospital are designated Category “H.” “Category “H” care is provided at CMFCalifornia Medical Facility, CIMCalifornia Institution for Men, and California Men’s Colony – East (CMCCalifornia Men's Colony-E). Female inmates and male inmates with medical needs that cannot be met in CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation hospitals may be transferred to a community hospital.
