Finding solutions at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center

California Rehabilitation Center at Norco, along with the Amity Foundation, recently hosted a provider resource and reentry fair. Read the story.

Veterans Justice Commission meets at San Quentin

The Veterans Justice Commission recently met at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center so members could learn more about the challenges faced by incarcerated military veterans. Read the story.

California Institution for Men hosts reentry resource fair

California Institution for Men at Chino hosted their first reentry resource fair Sept. 18. Read the story.

Butte reentry learns from fish hatchery

Butte reentry program participants took part in an outing others would probably take for granted: visiting a fish hatchery. Reentry staff said these visits help participants acclimate to being out in public. Another goal is taking them to places they otherwise might not experience. Read the story.

Centinela hosts talent show

Centinela State Prison recently hosted a talent show on Facility C, uniting staff and the incarcerated population in creativity, cooperation, and mutual respect. Spearheaded by Capt. Richard Solorio, Recreational Therapist Jacquelyn Smith, and facility staff Psychologist Dr. Pamela Anani, the event was a shining example of how rehabilitation and community-building are taking center stage in California’s correctional facilities. Cemetery Tales: Swindling dentist; Deadly feud

For three years, Inside CDCR has told the stories of those buried at the prison cemeteries in San Quentin, Folsom, and Preston School of Industry in Ione. OVSRS attends Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims

The Office of Victim and Survivor Rights and Services (OVSRS) attended the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. The event was hosted by the Sacramento Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children (POMC). Held at Sacramento’s Howe Community Center, the event brought together families and supporters to honor loved ones lost to violence.
