CDCR Crisis Response Teams from four institutions provided mutual aid to help eradicate illegal grow operations in Butte County.

CDCR staff from Sierra Conservation Center, Folsom State Prison, California State Prison-Sacramento, and Mule Creek State Prison assisted the California State Parks and Recreation Special Enforcement Team.
Together, the joint law enforcement operation served multiple search warrants to suspected illegal marijuana grow locations in Butte County.
The late September operation was a success.
With State Parks and CDCR targeting illegal grow operations in Butte, the mutual aid effort yielded the following:
- 4,563 plants eradicated/destroyed
- 1,055 pounds of processed marijuana destroyed
- 1 firearm seized
- 2 arrested
- 2 unregistered pesticides seized
- There were also multiple water code enhancement violations.
“CDCR appreciates the dedicated Crisis Response Team members throughout the department as they continue keep the state of California safe,” according to a statement issued by the department.
