The Applications Development and Maintenance Section (ADAMS) is responsible for the development and support of quality, automated applications that meet the business needs of the CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. ADAMS serves CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation staff and other authorized entities by promoting the effective management of, and access to, CDCRCalifornia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation-related information. ADAMS is primarily responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of CDR information systems as well as providing customer training and ongoing application support.

Additionally, ADAMS provides assistance in the assessment of automation needs by working directly with the program areas in the development of new system requirements, Information Systems Budget Concept Statements, Feasibility Study Reports (FSRs), Special Project Reports (SPRs), Post-Implementation Evaluation Reports (PIERS), Information Technology Procurement Plans (ITPPs), procurement strategies (requests for proposals or alternative procurements), procurement evaluations, contract negotiations, contract initiation, and contract management.
