31070.8.1 Purpose

  • The purpose of this policy is to provide authorization for the issuance of a retired Peace Officer IDInstitutions Division (see DAI) card with the endorsement authorizing permission to carry a concealed weapon, as well as provide an evaluation process to preclude or remove the CCW authorization from a retired Peace Officer excluded from lawfully or responsibly exercising the privilege to carry a concealed weapon.
