Supervisors at CSP-Corcoran rallied to help the family of a fallen staff member. Through a barbecue, they raised over $8,500 for the family.

When Sergeant Marcelino Muniz passed away September 28, 2021, staff at California State Prison, Corcoran, were shocked. To help boost morale, as well as raise funds for the Muniz family, supervisors on Facility 4A organized a fundraiser.

Through a barbecue, staff shared stories and a good meal, all while raising over $8,500 for the Muniz family.

“Thank you to all who volunteered your time, effort and money,” organizers said. “This was a group effort to help spur the healing process while also helping the family.”
