Randall Rael, a retired property controller II at Pleasant Valley State Prison, passed away Jan. 16, 2026. He worked for the department for 20 years. Services will be held March 14.
Rael started his career with CDCR in November 2001 at Pleasant Valley State Prison.
He remained at the institution until he retired in November 2021.
“Rael was a treasured employee and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by his friends and co-workers,” according to the institution. “We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences for Randal Rael family, loved ones, and friends during this difficult time.”
Services will be held at 3 p.m., March 14, at Clovis Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2370 Helm Ave., in Clovis. Reception will follow the service.
