Self‑Guided Curriculum for Sex Offenders Program

The Sex Offender Program is a self-guided curriculum to address the criminogenic needs of incarcerated individuals who are required to register pursuant to Penal Code section 290 (PC 290). The focus of Self-Guided Curriculum is to increase public safety by reducing criminal behavior and recidivism for incarcerated individuals who will be mandated to participate in community-based programs upon release.

Eligibility/Enrollment

Eligibility requirements require incarcerated individuals to be:

  • Up to 12 months, but no less than six months remaining to serve or from their Board of Prison Hearing (BPH) date. BPH eligibility shall be determined based on the No Later Than date, which will serve as the controlling date for all timing requirements.
  • Be required to register pursuant to PC 290
