Division of Rehabilitative Programs – Television

The Division of Rehabilitative Programs Television (DRP-TV) is a secure, multi-channel streaming network that delivers 24/7 rehabilitative television programming to all California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institutions. Each channel is designed to broaden an incarcerated individuals rehabilitative development during their incarceration.

The DRP-TV programming includes:

  • Education Channel – Covering Adult Basic Education to college and E-Learning courses.
  • Employment Channel – Designed to support the development of career skills to better prepare incarcerated individuals for employment.
  • Freedom Channel – Featuring rehabilitative and reentry programming designed to prepare incarcerated individuals for release.
  • Wellness Channel – Designed to foster a healthy mind and body during an incarcerated individuals rehabilitation.

As of June 2018 DRP-TV is streaming in 72% of the Office of Correctional Education classrooms (614 of the 848 classrooms), 74% of the cells and dorms (41,770 of 56,194 cells and dorms), and 91% of the dayrooms (1,261 of the 1,400 dayrooms) statewide.
