Victim Impact (VI) Grant

Victim Impact programs are victim-focused restorative justice programs provided by community-based organizations. These programs must employ restorative justice principles, have an emphasis on accountability, and provide opportunities for incarcerated individuals to understand the impact of the harm caused by crime.

Rehabilitative Investment Grants for Healing and Transformation (RIGHT)

The RIGHT Grant offers funding to enhance the capacity of community-based, eligible nonprofit organizations to provide in-prison programming in CDCR institutions.

Innovative Programming Grants

The Innovative Programming Grant (IPG) provides grant funds to non-profit organizations wishing to expand programs they are currently providing in other California state institutions that have demonstrated success and focus on an incarcerated person’s responsibility and restorative justice principles, or to not-for-profit organizations with experience in providing programming in a correctional setting. Innovative programs are insight-oriented with a focus on incarcerated persons responsibility and restorative justice principles.

California Reentry and Enrichment (CARE) Grants

California Reentry and Enrichment (CARE) Grant programs are insight-oriented, restorative justice programs that focus on increasing empathy and accountability among participants. These programs are provided by non-profit organizations and can demonstrate that the approach has produced, or will produce, positive outcomes in correctional environments.
