Physical Education and Recreation
Physical Education and Recreation programs are provided at each institution to incarcerated individuals with an opportunity to participate in organized fitness and recreational activities such as basketball, track, handball, and board games. Physical education programs are based on the acquisition of knowledge and skills that are the foundation for engaging in physical activity. The program is geared to empower incarcerated individuals to sustain regular, lifelong physical activity to live a healthy, productive, and fulfilling life.

Program Length
Program activities may vary in length. Each incarcerated individual progresses at their own pace.
Eligibility/Enrollment
Participation in these programs is voluntary and available to all incarcerated individuals who are interested. Available activities vary by institution according to size and mission.
