Specialized Treatment for Optimized Programming (STOP) contractors offer a service known as Returning Home Well Housing (RHWH). The RHWH is available for participants that are within ninety (90) calendar days of release, with only an identified housing need. The RHWH modality provides shelter, clothing, essential toiletries, and supervision for all participants residing at the facility. No treatment services are required for RHWH.

RHWH services are available in most counties throughout the state of California. Parolees in counties lacking RHWH service locations may be considered for placement in another county, with Division of Parole Operations (DAPO) approval. Placement in RHWH is coordinated through STOP contracts from six regional placement offices: Sacramento, Campbell, Fresno, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and San Diego.
